Makes me laugh how people think they were anything special, they weren't a team I ever admired.
Hierro was 36 when he joined and played for 1 season, signing from a club in Dubai
Campo was nothing special, dirty cunt too.
Djorkeaff was well past his best when he played for Bolton aged 34.

Okocha was class as was Anelka granted, but throwing money at aging foreigners and their agents is not a sustainable model especially for a small club like Bolton.
Ultimately it cost them big time, spending well beyond their means put them on the road to massive debt thanks to the short term approach.
